GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE INTERNAL MODERATOR

  1. The internal moderator must complete this report for all assessment tasks and the assessment tools moderated.
  2. You are required to draw up your own analysis grid prior to moderating the assessment tasks and tools and to compare your grid to that of the examiner. Please submit your grids to the DHET official before you start with your moderation.
  3. Please read the minimum standards under each criterion and report on how the assessment tasks and assessment tools comply.
  4. Where there is no or limited compliance please indicate in general terms how the assessment tasks and assessment tools must be amended to comply by carefully completing the recommendations for compliance section.
  5. Where amendments are required in the assessment tasks, complete the table on page 20, providing clear and specific guidance on the changes required and advise on how these changes are to be effected.
  6. Where amendments are required in the assessment tools, complete the table on page 23, providing clear and specific guidance on the changes required and advise on how these changes are to be effected.
  7. Please ensure that the nature of the changes do not contradict your final evaluation of the assessment tasksand assessment tools.
