JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: CULINARY CLUB ADVISOR – Lincoln Middle School

DEFINITION OF POSITION: Responsible for overseeing the activities of the Culinary Club.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:Building Assistant Principal

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•Ability to work effectively with middle school-age children

•Ability to work effectively with children with special needs

•Ability to take directions and follow through without direct supervision

•Ability to work positively, respectfully and consistently with students in situations of discipline regardless of their challenges

•Commitment to the development and growth of student responsibility and citizenship

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•Ability to use clerical skills and computer for recordkeeping, typing reports, completing forms, etc

•Ability to consistently:

- Work positively with a wide variety of people both inside and outside of the organization

- Work with colleagues in a collaborative manner

- Meet multiple demands in pressure situations and maintain high levels of quality work

- Maintain confidentiality

- Deal with the public, other agencies and district employees in a positive and productive manner

- Communicate clearly, orally and in writing

- Work with minimal supervision and be flexible

ESSENTIAL JOB RELATED ACTIVITIES:

•Facilitate the introduction of new cooking methods to students

•Acquire/develop training materials

  • Teach safety methods to participating students

•Notify students and parents of activity schedule

•Schedule and conduct training sessions
