A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Payton Michael McElroy.
WHEREAS, it is with heavy hearts and deep sadness to learn of the premature passing of little Payton Michael McElroy; and
WHEREAS, Payton Michael McElroy was born on August 8, 1997, a native of Union County, Kentucky, and she prematurely traversed these earthly bounds on January 22, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Payton Michael McElroy was the adored daughter of Doug and Jennifer McElroy, and she was the loving sister of Judd McElroy; she leaves behind loving grandparents, Jim and Niesje McElroy and Mike and Brenda Thomas, all of Morganfield; and she also leaves behind loving great-grandparents, Sam and Annie Meacham McElroy of Waverly, and George and Janice Thompson and Cecilia Thomas, all of Morganfield; and
WHEREAS, in the aftermath of this tragic accident, we are reminded of the grief and suffering afflicted upon the family of Payton Michael McElroy, and during this time of pain and sorrow, our hearts and prayers are extended to them; and
WHEREAS, the passing of little Payton Michael McElroy has left a void that cannot be filled, and she is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its most profound sense of loss and bereavement upon the passing of Payton Michael McElroy, and extends to her family its heartfelt sympathy and condolences.
Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Payton Michael McElroy.
Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mr. and Mrs. Doug McElroy, 5000 US Hwy. 60E, Waverly, Kentucky 42462, and to the Honorable and Mrs. Sam McElroy, Route 1, P. O. Box 73, Waverly, Kentucky 42462.
