ACTION POINTS:

a)  Gerry- write to Cluster members asking them to send in their activity plans for the month of March for the use of Cluster assets and services.

b)  Cluster- to establish plan of operations for the month of March.

c)  Cluster members are to give the names of their staff that manage transport to Gerry. This is the first step in rationalizing vehicle use of members.

d)  Jan is to always inform WFP staff in Mutarara when dispatching food by boat to their location.

e)  Unicef-Mutarara will help with information on road conditions in the areas where they work. This information is required to update the maps.

f)  Thomas is to number/label the Cluster Wiik halls for ease of identification.

1.AIROPS (Helicopters). (Sandra Legg)

5 flights of 13 tons of cargo transported.

All the flights were for food transport.

-5 flights to Doa; 3 flights, Tambara-Doa and 1 to Mutarara.

Tomorrow’s operations as per the distributed proposed flight plan.

2.BOATS.

-The available boats continued taking NFIs on behalf of Oxfam and Unicef and food (WFP) to Mutarara.

Tomorrow:

-continue with the transport of 60MT of food (WFP) to Mathilde from Marromeu.

-30Mt barge will go to Mutara with NFIs for Oxfam and Unicef.

3. TRUCKS. (Leon Claasen).

-All the trucks were loading the boats and choppers.

For tomorrow: trucks will continue loading the boats and choppers.

4.WAREHOUSING. (Robert Sanchez and Thomas Goransson)

-A couple of CMRs for WFP food to the Inhangoma area have been consolidated into one for air transport.

CMR tracking sheet was distributed as usual.

5. VEHICLE MOVEMENT:

Ermelinda (WFP) will submit information to the Cluster on the vehicle movement of all members.

6. Miscellaneous:

-The Cluster Wiik hall of NFIs in Mutarara will be managed by Oxfam, Unicef and ActionAid. These organizations should give a copy of the weekly inventory to the Cluster.

-10 rolls of paper and ink were received for the printing of GIS maps.

-Elizabeth is printing new, updated GIS maps for Cluster members.

-Jan gave a briefing on his Marromeu trip. The objective of his trip was to organize the transport of approx 300MT of food to Mathilde, Chinde.
