Intern Responsibilities
Outcome 1: Allies will create plans and receive training that helps them articulate post-program educational and/or professional goals related to developing as leaders and for careers in the nonprofit sector.
Intern Activities 1:
●Work with Program staff to ensure that each Ally has an Individual Development Plan (IDP). These plans clearly outline Ally post-program career and educational goals.
●Based on information from Allies and IDPs, suggest trainings that can help Allies meet their goals.
●Assist in leading those trainings.
Outcome 2:In addition to regular coaching with program staff, Allies will receive support and referrals to reduce barriers that might keep them from successfully completing the Public Allies program.
Intern Activities 2:
●Draft a resource manual for Allies and Staff that encompasses local social services, mental health services, financial guidance and career guidance during and post-program.
●Serve as a resource to Allies in matters of social service support, mental health, and to reduce barriers that may keep an Ally from succeeding in the program.
Outcome 3: Public Allies Pittsburgh can make data-based decisions about program quality, and enhance our marketing materials, based on clear historical impacts on our Ally, Partner, and Community constituencies..
Intern Activities 3:
●Gather evaluation data from Public Allies Pittsburgh for the last 3-5 years.
●Organize the information for Site Director analysis.
Outcome 4: The social work intern will bring an additional personal talent to the program, leaving behind a process, new knowledge or something equally valuable that will help improve Public Allies Pittsburgh and the Coro Center for Civic Leadership.
Intern Activities 4:
●Apply your degree program, experiences, or other assets to the work of Coro
●Work with your supervisor to create benchmarks and a plan to deliver a new, valuable part of the program structure
●Participate in onboarding staff to new program component

The Coro Center for Civic Leadership Pittsburgh (Coro Pittsburgh) was founded in 1999 to develop leaders who have a passion to revitalize communities.
