TheCommunityCentreRenovation Fund supportsrepairs,upgrades,retrofits,safetyimprovementsand renovation projectsatCityof Winnipeg CommunityCentrefacilities.
Onlyfacilityareasreceiving operating dollarsthroughtheUniversal Funding Formula areeligible. Improvementstoice/fieldsheds,siteupgradesor newconstruction resulting inincreasestothe Universal Funding Formulawill not beconsidered.
TheCommunityCentreRenovation Fund willsupport100%ofeligibleprojectcoststoamaximumof
$50,000 per project. Fifty percent(50%)ofthegrantis payableonce projectapprovalis achieved.The remaining fiftypercent(50%)is payableupon verification ofprojectcompletion.
All projectsmustconformtotheCityof Winnipeg AccessibilityStandardsand UniversalDesign Policy.
Application Deadlines

Eligibility
1. Applicants must beCommunityCentresasrecognized bytheCityofWinnipeg.
2. Applicants’UFF accountabilityrequirementsmust becurrentand complete.
3. Projectsmustbecompleted in facilityareasthatreceiveoperating fundsthroughtheUniversal
Funding Formula.
4. Projectmustresultin a safe,secureand code-compliantfacilityimprovement.
5. Projectsmustbe undertaken bycontractorson theCityof Winnipeg’sPre-ApprovedLiability
List.
6. Projectsmustbecompleted,with all fundsexpended,within 18 monthsof award.

•TheCityofWinnipeggrantadministratorensuresthatalloutstanding items,suchas confirmationofprojectfunding,areaddressed.
•CommunityCentreobtainsCityofWinnipegprojectapproval(writtensign-off)and initiatesthework.
•Uponreceiptofthesign-offdocument,the grantadministratorwill releasefifty percent
(50%)oftheapprovedfunds.
•Theremainingfunding(50%)is claimedat projectcompletion.TheCommunityCentre willsubmita claimwhich includesoriginal invoicesand verificationofpayment(s).
•TheCityofWinnipeggrantadministratorwillverifycompletionand processclaim.
