HOUSE POINT WINNERS – PANTHERS

All welcome to worship at 2.45 pm in the school hall

Hello Everyone

Oh dear, it looks like autumn may have arrived.

Yesterday was a very busy day in school as we were taken over by superheroes! All of the infants (including staff and volunteers) dressed up as their favourite superhero and I was relieved to hear that school was safe in their hands as they were eager to serve others. In reception class they have been sharing collection boxes to let us know what they are interested in and in Year 1 they were learning and writing some lovely autumn poems. The kind children in Year 2 have made posters to share their maths methods at home and in Year 3 there is lots of research and report writing going on. Into Year 4 where they are impressing Mr Latimer with their challenges and today in Year 5 they are going to be making bread. It was a privilege to hand out the prefect badges on Friday to Year 6 and they are certainly taking their roles seriously and doing a great job.

If you are able to, please come along to our Friday worship this week where Mr Souter, who has led the Debt Awareness sessions in Year 5 and Year 6, will be coming along to present us with our accreditation award for all the work that has been put into learning about money and skills for life.

Next Tuesday, Drama workshops will be going on throughout the day. This is a gift to us from Helen O’Grady Drama and I feel sure the children will get a lot from these sessions.

Friday 16th October is the date for our whole school harvest worship. This will be held in the school hall. In order to make this worship more memorable and meaningful for all the children, each class will have a part to play. Class teachers will let you know how this is going to be delivered for each year group. It is never easy to decide upon which charity or cause to raise money for, however we would like to ask for your support to raise funds for the refugee crisis appeal. If you are able to, please send donations for this appeal so that we can send all monies donated to Christian Aid to put towards their appeal.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Linda Clayton
