REME HOCKEY FIXTURES FOR 2014/2015 SEASON
- Introduction. The 2013/2014 season was the REME hockey club’s most successful ever, winning the Greenford Urn; indoor titles for men and women; the men’s outdoor league; and the outdoor championships for the men and women. The season culminated with a fantastic tour to Australia where many goals were scored, friends made and the Australian Defence Forcewas beaten 8-2.
- Squads. The players listed at Annexes A, Band Chave been provisionally selected in the REME seniors’, ladies’and masters’ squads respectively this season. Players are to ensure their Commanding Officer and Officer Commanding get a copy of this letter.
- Commanding Officers and Officers Commanding are requested to release selected players for fixtureswhere at all possible, to allow the Corps to field its strongest teams in defence of the trophies. COS LF’s FRAGO[1] gives direction about Commanding Officers authorisingon duty participation of those soldiers by entering their names onunit part one orders.
- Information Portal. The REME Hockey MOSS site has all of the latest information about the club, including the 2014/2015 fixture list[2]. Please note the key serials when the REME Hockey Club will be asking you to release officers and soldiers. I have arranged three-way round-robin events for the outdoor league where possible, in order to reduce the number of trips made by players.
5.Support. Thank you for your ongoing support in releasing playersfor Corps hockey; which is fundamental to the success we have enjoyed and are working to maintain over forthcoming seasons.
