Research (Google research: Economist Intelligence Unit) has shown that the skills taught in education systems around the world are changing, and may not be meeting the needs of employers and society in the 21st Century. We at St. Anthony know that our students come to school with varying levels of personal device skills but do not have the integrated high technology skills needed for preparing for the future. This technology course is designed to develop specific skills outlined in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). We will integrate creativity, collaboration through teamwork and communication, as well as critical thinking and problem solving techniques through technology.
Course Description: Students will continuously learn to operate the keyboard and practice proper keyboard etiquette. There will be teacher instructions for formatting basic documents for both personal and business use. Students will apply keyboarding skills in real life situations which will include, but not limited to, Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suites, Presentations and Internet research.
Student Expectations:
- Respect your teacher , fellow students, school, and most of all yourself
- Do not interrupt when someone is talking

Late Work/ Make up Work: Students will be given the opportunity to make up work due to absences, but due to the hands- on projects done in class cannot be reflected in the make-up work, alternate assignments will be given. 70 is the highest grade given for make-up assignments.
Extra Time in Class: Students work and finish projects at different speeds, extra time is allowed for students to finish tasks without deducting points.
