Please briefly describe what experiences an intern in your district would receive: Our district has a well established SAT process with review teams meeting bi-weekly to review cases for further evaluation; the intern would be assigned to one of these teams. There will be opportunity to work with students from pre-school to eighth grade. These students are eligible for services in all disability areas. There will be opportunity to conduct FBA’s, write BIP’s and facilitate Manifestation Determination meetings.
Please describe how supervision is provided to interns in your district:
The intern would work closely with an experienced school psychologist who will provide support with setting up testing and meeting calendars, model administering any tests the intern is unfamiliar with, model running a MET meetings, help with scoring and analyzing testing results and review all written reports before final submission to the Data Department. There is also a District Compliance Coordinator that works closely with the intern to provide an additional level of support.

Our psychology department has a wide variety of assessments to use during evaluations and the interns will be assigned a Psychologist Assistant to help prepare paperwork and provide translation services if needed. They are also assigned a laptop and iPad to use during their internship
