How many games are played?
5, 6, and 7u Youth teams play a twelve game season.
4 Year old T-ball teams play an eight game season
How long does the season last?
The season begins in late April and ends in mid to late June. The actual end of the season depends on whether or not your team has any rained-out games that need to be made up. Games may be played in July.
When are the games played?
Most youth games are scheduled on the weekends; however there may be several weeknight games during the course of the season. Games for 4, 5U and 6U teams start at 5:30PM on weekdays. If managers agree you may startgames at 6pm during the week. Games for 7U teams normally start no later than 6:00 PM, however an 8:00 PM start time is possible on occasion.
Where are the games played?
All games are played at the Ballwin Athletic Association.
Where and when are practices held?
Practice schedules are left up to the individual managers.
What is the cost?
The registration fee for the 5 – 7U youth program is $85.00. Every family is asked to pay an annual $30.00 Family Fee. This will be only one time per year no matter how many children you have playing in the program. Parents are also asked to either fulfill 2 volunteer work assignments or you may opt to buyout of thisfor $95.
The registration fee for 4 year old T-ball is $55.00. No family fee or parent volunteer duties required for this age.
I have not made arrangements with a manager for my child to be on a team. Should I still register him/her?
Yes. Even if there is no manager in a particular age group listed as “looking for players” you should go ahead and register your child as a “pool player”. We will assign your child to a team as soon as enough players to form a new team have registered. It is very rare that we cannot find a team for a player, but in the event that this does happen you are entitled to a full refund.
Can my child be placed on a team with other children he or she knows?
When forming new teams we normally can place your child on a team with his or her friends, schoolmates, etc. Please make note of your request in the comments section when you register. Also, it is very important that that the other children involved register promptly. If you are joining an existing team you will need to contact the manager directly, as managers have the final say on their rosters.
You may also start your own team with a group of your child’s friends. Normally we can supply pool players to complete your roster.
I am interested in managing or coaching. How can I become involved?
We are always looking for people to become managers and coaches. If you are interested please contact our Boys Commissioner, Norman Rich or our Webmaster at . By the way, being a manager or a coach fulfills your parent volunteer work assignment.
How can I find out more about the program itself, the rules, etc.?
Please find the Youth Guidelines link on the main youth page.
