SMU's Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship director gets Richard F. Tozer award
Dallas, TX – Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship director Jerry White received the Dr. Richard F. Tozer Innovation & Entrepreneurship Leadership Award from the Institute of Management Consultants Monday, March 20, at a dinner at the Crowne Plaza Addison.
Jerry White has served the Caruth Institute since 1988. A co-founder of the Dallas 100 Awards, he has taught more than 10,000 entrepreneurs. Besides writing for the Harvard Business Review and Journal of Small Business Management, he co-authored The Entrepreneur’s Master Planning Guide (Prentice-Hall) and Administering the Closely Held Company (Prentice-Hall).
The award is named for Richard F. Tozer, a longtime Dallas management consultant who taught at Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas at Dallas.
A panel led by Dr. Gerald Turner, CMC®, brought Dr. Tozer’s legacy to a new audience. Panelists Dallas Diggs, Elizabeth Jones, Edward Stone, CMC®, and Don Springer conducted a lively discussion.
