What you will be a part of

Saab Surveillance, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threats.

Sourcing & Production, a division within EDS, has around 380 employees where 200 are located in Göteborg. The production unit in Gothenburg is the main facility for production of Radar systems and Laser products.

Your future challenge

The task is to define and optimise the production flows for production of systems/subsystems to achieve improved quality, reduced lead times and reduced production costs.

There are several different approaches/focus areas, some of them are listed below.

  • Optimise the production with focus on lead times for critical production flows.
  • Analyse the producibility for system/subsystem, identify standardised operations and propose improvements to ease the assembly and reduce the assembly time.
  • Focus on material handling and buffering.

Your role

Saab Surveillance is in search for motivated and enthusiastic Master/Bachelor students in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. English is the common corporate language. The ambition is to start the project January 2017. This position involves working with Swedish defence classified information and therefore requires Swedish citizenship.
