The Rest of the Story

KORT:

Please attend the KORT meeting if you are available. We will be working on the Auction.

It will be held at 11:30 on Thursday, February 2nd.We really need lots of help with contacting all of the businesses in town and selling tickets for the event. We need folks to decorate, donate items for baskets, and set up as well as take down. We would love to have your assistance. This money goes toward building our new gym with classrooms around it. We are out of space completely as you can see by walking into our multi-purpose room. We would love to raise enough money to be able to start the gym. Do you remember being a kid and slowly making your way to the gym at any time possible. That is normally the spot where everyone wants to gather. We are all, most of us, “gym rats” at heart. It can be the heart of the school. It seems that many fond memories from our childhood are set in a gym. We have plays, ballgames, pep rallies, physical education, parties, dances, programs and graduations in gyms. We really want to be able to provide all of these fond memories for our students on our campus.

Basketball Season:

Basketball season is over, but we sure did have a great time. Our Knights and Lady Knights improved as the season progressed. As always, our little cheer team entertained all. Thank you all for the hard work and dedication to representing our school proudly!

Spelling Bee:

Be in prayer for all of our students that will be participating in the Spelling Bee in Knoxville. We will compete on Friday, February 23rd. This is a big deal and can lead to other opportunities. Please pray for calm nerves, the desire to study, and a joyful heart for each and every one of these students as they prepare.

Christmas:

I would like to take a small space to thank everyone for the gifts with which my staff and I were blessed. You are an amazing group of people and we so appreciate getting to care for your children who are now our children.

Meet Mr. Lincoln:

This is a presentation that is being provided to us at no cost. We will leave the school at about 12:30 to get to the Palace and be seated by 1:00. I have seen this performance and it brings history to life.

Saving:

We are beginning a new program of saving here at the school. We are encouraging teachers and students to save electricity. We will turn off all lights when a room is not in use. Please help remind students to do this at home so they will be in the habit of it at school and help both of us save money.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Matthew 6:26
