Web Master and Search Engine Specialist – Level 4

The Web Master and Search Engine Specialist develops, manages, and optimizes CSI’s online properties, consistent with CSI’s vision and plans, including the corporate website, micro-sites, and corporate client jump-pages. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, the individual works closely with the Marketing and Customer Insights teams to identify and implement optimal web marketing and SEO/SEM strategies that drive customer acquisition, conversion and retention.

What you will achieve in this role:

E-Marketing

Build and manage an industry-leading online store for CSI’s education and credential assets. Implement and manage all components of CSI’s e-marketing strategy to achieve acquisition and revenue goals, ensuring alignment with Strategic Imperatives, marketing plans, and brand strategies.

Search Engine Optimization and Marketing

Lead CSI’s search engine strategy and optimization efforts to maximize rankings, web traffic, acquisition, conversion and revenue.

Marketing Automation

Lead the collaborative efforts between Marketing, Information Systems and Customer Insights to execute marketing automation plans for B2C and B2B campaign efforts. Manage the ongoing data flow requirements and integration across multiple systems: Omniture, ExactTarget, Enterprise Database, and the sales CRM platform.

What you will bring to this role:

Education

Diploma or a certificate from an accredited post-secondary education institution in web development/web design or e-marketing.

Years of Experience

5+ years experience in a Web Master and/or E-Marketing role (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 3 years experience in both SEO and SEM.

Technical Skills

·  Proficient in XHTML, HTML, XM, XSL, CSS, PhotoShop, and JavaScript.

·  Familiar with all aspects of online marketing including: best practices, shopping cart, SEM, SEO, affiliate and email marketing.

·  Experience in multimedia as well as social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Bing, You Tube, etc.

·  Familiar with campaign and web tracking software such as Omniture, Google Adwords and Analytics.

·  Working knowledge of Enterprise Databases. Knowledge in database software (Oracle, SQL, etc.) is an asset.

·  Knowledge of email platforms such as ExactTarget is highly desirable.

Required Abilities

·  Passionate about the latest web technologies, enablers, and best practices, including social media and multimedia.

·  Experience in building and managing corporate websites with robust e-commerce capabilities.

·  Strong project management and organizational skills; able to prioritize, multi-task, and achieve deadlines and objectives while working under pressure.

·  Team player with strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well independently.

·  Self-starter with a strong proactive streak.

·  Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and solid judgement.

·  Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·  Fluently bilingual in French is desirable.
