COLLECTION OF 2016 KEY STAGE 1 (KS1) RESULTS
Dear Colleague
I am writing to inform you of the arrangements that will operate in Lambeth for the collection of the 2016 KS1 results. The 2016 KS1 data collection deadline is Friday24 June 2016.
As soon as we receive your results, we can process and return pupil level reports for use at parent evenings.
LA SPREADSHEET – RECOMMENDED METHOD:
We have uploaded a file for your school to your School Reports Online “Upload Folder” at all pupils details needed for the return. If prompted with a security screen, click on “Continue to this site (not recommended)”. You will need to login to this site. All guidance can also be found here in the “Shared Documents” folder.
The data included in the KS1 file is from the January 2016 Census (Name, Gender, UPN, Date of Birth). If a pupil has arrived since this census, just add them at the bottom of the table. Likewise, if a pupil has left, please delete them.
The link has more guidance.
The following codes for Reading, Writing and Maths can be selected from drop-down boxes in the file: BLW, PKF, WTS, EXS, GDS, A, D.
The codes for Science are: HNM, EXS, U, A, D.
Once the KS1 results have been entered, if the “Export” button on the completed spreadsheet does not work, please just return the file to me as it is.
P-Scales
Recording and reporting of P Scale levels is now compulsory. Where P Scales are recorded within your MIS then these results will be included in the export file that is generated by the school, otherwise the DfE spreadsheet will also record and report this information. P Scales are only appropriate for SEN children assessed as BLW. They should not be applied to pupils recently arrived from overseas and/or are new to English unless they have been assessed with SEN. In this case there is an option to select EAL in the p-scale drop-down menu. The W level must still be reported with the KS1 results.
All P-Scales are reported to the right of the spreadsheet. Please see the additional guidance online for details.
RETURNING DATA TO LAMBETH
RECOMMENDED METHOD
It is recommended that you upload your KS1 file to the “Upload Folder” of your School Reports Online site. This is because:
- You can upload any type of file
- You do not have to rename the file
- It is a secure site
- Amendments can be more easily made
All guidance can be found in the link.
James is the first contact for any issues related to KS1 data collection and can be contacted on 020 7926 9832. Please remember, the deadline for returning your completed and validated data to the LA is Friday 24 June 2016.
Yours sincerely
