Creative Writing – Semester project
Due
Your final for this class will consist of a portfolio of ten items. At least one of these items must be a piece of writing from this class and a piece of writing from out of class. (If you choose to place full-length stories into this, give only an excerpt of it.)
What you will do is compile ten things that represent you as a writer. These may range from several compositions of your own to a picture of something that you feel represents you and what you have learned. (For example, if it is a 3-dimensional item, take a picture of it, scan it, etc.) Let your imagination and creativity reign as you are representing the best that is in you!
At the beginning of your portfolio, list each item and then give a 6-7 sentence paragraph that explains why you chose each piece.
This is the criteria that you need to follow:
- A cover page that represents you
- Table of contents that: states each item, why it means something to you, and why you feel it represents you as a writer (this is the paragraph explaining your choice)
- Your ten items in the order you have delineated on your table of contents
- Correct grammar and spelling
Your goal: to see what you have learned about writing and yourself!
