Feb. 28 – Pot luck and Bingo is canceled due to big cookout at Ft. Sill
SPECIAL NOTE:
Most important is the Council meeting change to Monday evening (the 13th), this lets everybody take their sweetie out for a Valentine’sDay evening.Everything else is good for the month except our pot luck and bingo which we had to cancel because of a big cookout at Ft. Sill.That day being Fat Tuesday we are almost automatically volunteered to do the cooking and serving.11909 gives us a hand and we will also need the Ladies to help with the serving.

LAST MONTH’S ACTIVITIES UP-DATE:
We had a few Knights attend the breakfast at Golden Corral on the 14th, they said it was jam packed.Our council and 4thDegree meetings went off very well, pancake breakfast went fairly well, people coming out after the cold weather were still a little leery.Our pot luck and bingo turned out very well, had a couple complaintsand after they won most of the money they were happier.Seems that their noses were really attuned to the moth balls.
UP COMING ACTIVITIES:
Our February projects are our normal operations, except for the council date change to the 13thand the big cookout at Ft. Sill on the 28th.The GK will be asking for volunteers both from the Knights and the Ladies, so let’s all pitch in and make it a good show.

4thDEGREE NEWS:
January meeting was a little sparse, just barely had a quorum, the pizza, salad and dessert was very good.We did mess up in not appointing a cook for this month’s upcoming meeting. We need someone to pick up the gavel and step forward.Remember that we have to keep the cost down to around $30.00 because two or three of our regulars are not up to coming right now.
CORPORATION NEWS
Our 2ndoption for the squirrels worked – we caught the bugger.Juan Gonzalez-Pinto did a good job.We are still waiting on a free day for our electrician so he can come and fix the outside sign.
LADIES NEWS:
Due to the inclement weather we did not have a meeting.Perhaps the month of February will treat us better.

GRAND KNIGHTS CORNER
Now that we have Christmas and New Years over and have the cookout at Ft.Sill to look forward to, we need to think seriously about hosting of the Founder’s Day meal and celebration.It is our turn this year as 11909 did it last year.We should probably discuss the arrangements and things at this month’s meeting as it would be very close to next month’s meeting.You should all have received the last request for dues, if you haven’t sent them in, please do so.The rules have been changing and now Supreme is going to get involved in your final notifications.
