“Every other thing can be looked after except for one - that you should be a perfect machine, a perfect channel, a perfect flute for my lord to play that tune of love”.

ShriMataji,Shri Krishna Puja,Mumbai, India, 28th August 1973

To

All SahajaYogi Brothers and Sisters

With immense love pouring from our heart and great anticipation, we the Sahajayogis of Kerala invite you all once again to KERALA– God’s Own Country - to worship our Mother,
Shree MatajiNirmala Devi, in Her form ofSakshat Shree Krishna and awaken the Yogeshwara power within us.. On this auspicious occasion, we pray for humilityand witness state so that each one of us can clear out all our seven holesand hollownessand be like the seven musical notes, which Shri Krishna can channel through His flute to create one harmonious melody. May this melody of love arise in the waters of our collective desire and may the waves of this ocean travel through the Virat, till they reach the Golden feet of our Mother.

About Kerala

Kerala, located on the south-western tip of India, enjoys unique geographical features that have made it one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Asia. Fondly referred to as
‘God’s Own Country’, Kerala was selected by the National Geographic Traveler as one of the
50 destinations of a lifetime and one of the thirteen paradises in the world. . It is well known for its greenery and the coconut trees from where it got its name Kerala, which means “The Land of Coconuts”
An equable climate, serene beaches, tranquil stretches of backwaters, lush hill stations and exotic wildlife are the major attractions of this land. A unique advantage of Kerala is that most of the destinations here are only a two - four hour drive from the other.

For the Sahajayogis it has got special relevance as it is the birthplace of AdiShankaracharya,
an incarnation of Markandeya, Buddha and Luv, the author of most of the mantras in
Sahaja yoga mantra book and the author of “LalitaSahasranama” and “ SaundaryaLahari”.

“AdiShankaracharya has called it ‛SaundaryaLahari,“ because you can judge the Saundarya with this. Beautifully he has described it. Buthow much they tortured him – think of it, person like AdiShankaracharya – Imean, Idon’t know what to say. Theone who gave such secrets about the Mother, such great descriptions; he was tortured for what? Whatwrong did he do that he should have been tortured? Nowwe have to stand up with the truth, and must say that ‛Mother, we have to have the truth, and truth and nothing else”

ShriMatajiNirmala Devi, Madras,India7December, 1991

So on this joyous occasion, Kerala collective is extremely honored to welcome all our dear brothers and sisters from all over the worldto this holy part of the land, for Shree Krishna Puja and Seminar on 4-6 Sept 2015 at AduluxConvention Centre, Angamally, Ernakulam, Kerala.

Tourist Places in Kerala

Kerala Backwaters and Houseboats - THE PARADISE OF KERALA

TheBackwatersof Alappuzha are the most popular tourist attraction in, a chain of canals extending about 1500 kms, with a network of 44 rivers, lagoons and lakes. Most of the Kerala backwaters are naturally formed and some of the backwater canals are manmade. A houseboat cruise in these backwaters is a delightful experience, which we will be arranging on 4th Sept, 2015 for our Sahaji brothers and sisters. All those who are interested for this trip should intimate us well in advance, so as to make all necessary arrangements.

Alternate sightseeing arrangement is also planned to ATHIRAPPALLI- VAZHACHAL Waterfalls for those who are not interested in houseboat cruise.

Athirapally and Vazhachal – Waterfalls

The two picturesque and majestic waterfalls, Athirapally and Vazhachal are located just five km apart, on the edge of the Sholayar forest ranges. The Athirapally falls join the Chalakudyriver after plummeting down 80 ft. The cool spray that covers a large area near the falls makes Athirapally a scenic location. The picturesque Vazhachal waterfall is close to dense green forests and is a part of the Chalakudy River.

Munnar-A hill station

Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1,600 m above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji. This flower which bathes the hills in blue once in every twelve years, will bloom next in 2018. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India, Anamudi, which towers over 2,695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking.

Silent Valley- National Park

Silent Valley is considered one of the most ecologically diverse areas on the planet. Lion tailed macaque, elephant, leopard, tiger, Nilgirithar, Malabar giant squirrel. Variety of other large mammals including deer, gaur etc.Large population of birds like hornbills, malabar whistling thrush etc. The place is teeming with the more "common" birds like drongos, tailorbirds, spotted dove, koels etc.

Thekkady – Wild Life sanctuary

India 's largest wildlife sanctuary is a dream destination for any tourist visiting India .The 120 years old 'Surki' dam built across Peryiar, Poorna in Vedic parlance, is a major tourist attraction. This sanctuary is spread over an area of 777 Sq.Kms, surrounded by an artificial lake over an area of 25 Sq.Kms.The Country's sole Tiger reserve, Thekkady, with its bountiful treasures of tropical flora and fauna is the ultimate reservoir of many an endangered species and a rich tribal culture. Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations.

Kanyakumari

Kanniyakumari(orKanyakumari) is a town on the southern most tip of the main land ofIndia, in the state ofTamil Nadu. It is also known asCape Comorin.

The southernmost point of India, Kanyakumari is a small town located at the confluence of the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. For a long time it has been a significant site in India both spiritually and more recently as a day tripping excursion from Kerala. Famous Indian poet and philosopher, though probably unknown to most foreigners, Swami Vivekananda spent long periods of time meditating here and resultantly has a large monument erected to him just off the shoreline. Mahatma Gandhi also visited Kanyakumari and another prominent attraction is a mausoleum dedicated to him in the form of an Orissa Sun Temple. A rare phenomenon and depending on the weather, at certain times of the year the setting sun and rising moon can be witnessed in the twilight.

The oldest and the most ancient landmark in this town is the temple of Goddess Kumari who prayed to Lord Shiva to be accepted as wife by him.

ShriMataji visited Kanyakumari during 1979 and stood in the seashore, we can see the mandapam where ShriMataji viewed the Vivekananda Rock.

The southernmost end of the mainland of Indian subcontinent Kanyakumari unique in itself for being amongst the very few places in the country where you could watch a sunrise and also a sunset sitting in the very same spot.

Kalady– Birthplace of AdiShankaracharya

AdiShankaracharya’s birthplace is at Kaldy in Kerala. Kalady means footprint in local language Malayalam.According to the legend AdiShankara saw her mother fainting one day as she walked 3 kms everyday to fetch water from Periyarriver. He prayed to Lord Krishna who asked him to set his footprints where he wants the river to flow .Hence the name Kalady(foot print). AdiShankara propagated Advaita philosophy of Hinduism. He is the son of SiviguruAryamba.

The "MuthalaKadavu," or Crocodile Ghat, is where Sankara's life turned to Sanyasam (Ascetic life). His mother, Aryadevi, did not agree with his desire to become a Sanyasin. Legend says that one day, Sankara was touched by a dog and, as per custom followed by the community, Sankara had to take bath. Accompanied by mother, Sankara went to river Poorna to bathe. While in the water, a crocodile caught hold of his leg. The drowning Sankara told his mother that the crocodile would leave him alone if she would allow him to take up Sanyasa. Helpless, his mother agreed, and the crocodile freed Sankara.
