Requirements:Each student must complete all assignments (online), quizzes, and tests.

A grade of C or better is needed to pass the course.

Tutoring:The following two locations offer tutoring for Math 090. No appointmentis needed. You will be given a schedule of the times available. This service is free.

·  Tutoring will be available in Mitchell 133

·  Math-Science Center in Bolton 180 also provides walk-in tutoring

·  Library, East Wing

Exams: All exams will be given on the day specified in the syllabus and will be announced and you should refer to the syllabus. Examsmust be taken on the specified date. There will be no make-up date unless prior permission is obtained from the instructor. Results will be posted on D2L.

Quizzes: Quizzes will be given during the last twenty minutes on the dates indicated in the syllabus. You must be in attendance to take the quiz. There will be no makeup quiz, PERIOD! If you miss more than two quizzes, please see me.

Homework:You are expected to do the required assigned homework on a regularbasis. Students should remember that to insure success in all subjects,especially mathematics, problems should be completed in a timelymanner. STAY ON TOP OF YOUR ASSIGNMENTS. Homework assignments will be completed online. The website will be provided (see attached registration information)

Attendance:Students are required to attend all classes. Any student who misses morethan 4 classes (for 2 days a week class) will not receive a grade higher than a C-. This grade isnot high enough for entrance into math 95. In the event of disruption of normal classroom activities due to an H1N1 swine flu outbreak or inclement weather, the format for this course may be modified to enable completion of the course. In that event, you will be provided an addendum to this syllabus that will supersede this version.
