Reading & Writing
In writing this week students continued to use their interactive writer’s notebook to write drafts of their small moment stories.
Students practiced identifying text features of NF books: titles, maps, captions, labels, index, glossary, table of contents, bolding etc. They went on scavenger hunts looking for non-fiction text features and practiced using these features to identify ideas and find information within a text.
Please use Spelling City to help students practice their weekly spelling words as well as the Scripps spelling bee words. www.spellingcity.com
