8th Grade Science Materials List 2016-2017

Mrs. Stevenson

Room 309

Parents/Guardian’s,

Every year I put out a list of supplies needed for students in my class. Your child is expected to bring the usual items to class every day (pens, pencils, paper, etc…). Your student is also required to bring in a composition book to be their science journal. I have a place in my classroom for the journals to be kept as we use them during the year. Some kids fill them up and need to start a 2nd composition book later in the year. (So buy 2 now while they are cheap)!

Other supplies are not used every day. These supplies are very light weight; therefore I recommend the students keep them in their backpacks, in a pencil bag, or other container. These supplies include:

  • Map pencils
  • Highlighters
  • Scissors
  • Metric ruler
  • Small glue bottle
  • Calculator

I also request (not require) that students bring the following items to contribute to the classroom supplies:

Tissue

Baby wipes or disinfectant wipes

Baggies of all sizes (snack, sandwich, and/or quart)

Index cards (3 x 5, lined)

Lined notebook paper

Markers

Any extra school supplies

Thank you in advance for your support. Please feel free to call or e-mail me at any time if you have questions. I look forward to meeting everyone at Open House!
