§ My Learning Plan Q & A
o Lisa (district support)
o There are some concerns within MyLearning Plan where minutes are missing. If this is the case, please advise support for assistance.
o Within the system, click on “team room” this is where minutes should be taken.
o Each time team meet, please submit to principal for monitoring. If the form is incomplete, the form will be sent back with feedback. At the conclusion of each cycle, PLC form must be submitted.
o Completed forms may be viewed under “Team Form Reports”
o Click “Learning Plan” tab Open drafts to edit that will then populate in the team room.
o ***DO NOT click “drop” in “Learning Plan” – PLC minutes will be deleted.
o Please name minutes as example: (“1781 ELA 1_1.12.15” )
o The initiator (person who begins writing the notes) may only make changes under “view reports” other members may only view.
§ Data Binders- Documentation/tabs
o Presentation “How to use data to drive instruction”
o Students should track their own data.
§ RtI- The State has realigned the process to ensure that teachers are targeting deficiencies (walk to read); some schools may be audited;
o Coach- assigned to Cypress; she will monitor the process, referrals and BASIS;
o Monitoring
o Facilitation Log- must be completed each time teams meet and are updated regularly- used to ensure students are closely monitored (what intervention, what progress has been made) Provides documentation per grade level
o This info will be available to proceeding teachers to meet the needs of the teacher.
o Collab. Day (3rd day) focused on RTI discussion.
§ C.A.R.E. All day PLC’s- (Literacy Block)
§ Literacy Center training- purpose
o Provided by Ms. Kruger- Focusing on Literacy block structure and literacy centers.
§ District/State Visits- Expectations, Proactive, Consistency in instruction practice
o IRT- instructional review teams. Visits conducted by Cadre directors to review current instructional practices that aligned with student achievement.
o Support team will continue to conduct walkthroughs to obtain trend data. This weeks focuses are Journaling and math/literacy centers.
o Centers may stay active for multiple weeks and should be differentiated aligned to standards/student needs.
o Literacy block should have more student accountable talk.
o Team leaders- please walk through your teams classrooms to assure rooms are neat and clean.
o School will be open on a Saturday date TBA
o Classroom libraries should be organized by genre and/or lexile levels.
o Students should be exposed to various levels of text.
o CCR- focuses on various instructional strategies to improve student achievement i.e. precision reading (allows students to thoroughly understand the text)
o We need to focus on Targeted deficiency
§ PTA Fundraisers- In need to raise funds
o PTA needs a bulletin board
o Krispy Kreme- every other Friday, donuts will be sold. $8 per dozen. $1 per donut. Pre-sales completed each week.
o Valentines Candy Grams- on sale starting this week 1/19/16
