STAFF WELFARE SCHEMES UNDER HEALTH

1. Reimbursement of Medical Bills for certain Ailments (HRM-123 dt 21.10.10)

For treatments under PACKAGE / NONPACKAGE of the 7 ailments viz Bypass surgery, Open Heart Surgery, Angiogram / Catheterization, Closed Heart Surgery, Angioplasty, Liver & Kidney transplantation and Cancer, taken in the Hospitals, the difference between the limits prescribed by the Central Welfare Committee and the corresponding eligible amount payable under Bipartite Settlement/Indian Bank Officers Service Regulation are being reimbursed.

Orthopedic surgeries and certain Special surgeries like Brain Tumour, Surgery through Laproscopy & Laser, Implants like Esophagusstenting, Chronic PancreatisStenting and Clipping in Brain, Investigations like MRI Scan related to ailments, Stress Thalium Test and life saving procedures like Dialysis and Ventilator, where the reimbursement from BPS/IBOSR is meagre or is not permitted, reimbursement with ceiling limits is permitted from Staff Welfare Fund.

Any surgery costing above Rs.50000/- is eligible under reimbursement from Staff Welfare Fund.

2. Provision of Eye check up and purchase of spectacles for Staff (HRM 38dt 08.06.2010)

Staff who are above 40 years of age are eligible for check up and a reimbursement of the cost of spectacles, subject to a maximum of Rs.3000 (from 01.04.2010) per occasion. The staff members can avail this facility thrice in their career, the minimum interval between the two reimbursements being four years.

3. Authorized Doctors in selected centres

At centres where there are more than 100 staff members, Doctors are engaged on contract basis. At present, we have engaged Doctors in Head Office, IMAGE, New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai Andheri West and Mumbai Fort Area.

4. Subsistence Allowance to Staff who is on loss of pay due to prolonged hospitalizations (HRM 147 dt.01/12/2010)

This facility is available to a staff who has exhausted all his/her leave and continues to be in leave on loss of pay due to prolonged hospitalization. The amount of allowance is 75% of his/her gross salary subject to a maximum of Rs.10000/- per month. This is restricted to 18 months for entire service and the staff is eligible for a maximum of 6 months at a stretch on one occasion.

5. Free treatments to our staff members

Free Cardiac treatment for Angiogram, Open Heart Surgery, By pass Surgery & Angioplasty is available at Madras Medical Mission and Apollo Hospitals Chennai, under permission from Head Office, HRM Department.

6. Medical Check up for all Officers (Age above 40 years) from Scale I to Scale III, every year.

The charges for the Health Check Up stands increased to Rs.3,500/- (Staff Rs.1750/- and Spouse Rs.1,750/-) from 01.04.2010.

7. High risk Health Check up for all Officers (Age above 45 years) from Scale IV and above, every year

The charges for the Health Check Up stands increased to Rs.5000/- (Staff Rs.2500/- and Spouse Rs.2500/-) from 01.04.2010.

8. Concession and Benefits offered by Apollo Pharmacy to Indian BankEmployees. (HRM.55/2012-13 dt.25.07.2012)

Apollo Pharmacy, a part of Apollo Hospitals is offering the following benefits exclusively for Indian Bank employees who purchase medicines from them.

· 10% discount on medicines purchased.

· 5% discount on FMCG products like Boost, Horlicks, Baby Soaps, etc.

· 15% discount on Apollo Pharmacy private label products ranging from skin care to cosmetics (over 150+ products)

Further, Apollo Pharmacy has informed that our employees have to produce the ID Card issued by the Bank while availing the facility. They have further informed that the discount will be offered directly in the bill itself (only on cash and carry basis and no minimum purchase). The purchases can be made at all branches of Apollo.
