The format for all classes are 1 round of optimum time showjumping, culminating directly after by your cross country (NOT timed).
RULES OF THE DAY
- Horses and ponies must be at least 4 years old.
- Hats – correctly fastened and PC tagged to the standard stated on the website– must be worn at all times when mounted.
- Body protectors MUST be worn and must conform to current PONY CLUB Rules
- TACK AND DRESS will be checked according to current PONY CLUB RULES displayed on the secretary's caravan. Cross Country colours are permitted for any class at this event
- OBJECTIONS - if any - to be made in writing and accompanied by £15 within 15 minutes of the relevant class result being displayed at any event.
- Any withdrawals before the closing date will have the money refunded if a SAE is sent to the Entry secretary with full details.
- Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
- Please take your litter home & DON’T MUCK OUT HORSEBOXES
- NO telephone calls after 9pm PLEASE to the secretary for any event
- No horse or pony will be allowed to complete more than three rounds in any event.
- All events are run under current pony club rules as per rule books for 2017 (unless otherwise stated on the schedule ) available from the secretary prior to the event. For show cross it is a combination of Pony Club EVENTING Rules 2017 for Showjumping and Cross Country

Non Pony Club Members should ensure that they have valid insurance to cover both themselves and their mounts.
Health and Safety
1. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
3. All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Scunthorpe Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance will not cover you.

Placings will be decided based upon a combination of the lowest amount of accumulated penalties totalled over showjumping and cross country and the nearest competitor to the optimum showjumping time (+ or -).
