WELCOME!

The Eastern Arabian Horse Show & East Coast Championships prize list has numerous changes from last year. Again, this year, we have tried to implement as many of the requests and changes the exhibitors have asked for and we could “fit in” more than 15 classes. In order to accomplish the task all rings will be starting Thursday morning; two full days for the Eastern Show and two full days for East Coast.

In 2006 we had to turn down entries owing to increased entries. Because of this we are asking exhibitors with one horse to share tack stalls; you will need at least two horses to secure a tack stall. We suggest that if you want a tack stall please share with a friend and send your entries in together so that you will be assured of stabling together.

Once again the Patron’s Packages have been well received and at the time the prize list went to press we had four left so if you’re interested in one, please call as soon as possible.

Our famous Chicken Bar-B-Que has been moved to Wednesday so folks will have time to eat and relax without hurrying to classes in the evening.

The Saturday Chill, which went over very well last year will be held again but with something different; you’ll just have to wait and see! Also on Saturday The South Central PAHA Youth will once again host the Stick Horse Clinic and School for all children 7 and under. FREE instruction and FREE materials to build stick horses will be provided. This will lead up to the FREE Stick Horse class to start the evening.

THE EASTERN FUTURITY is a part of the show and FUTURITY classes will be held within the show schedule. For those of you who are used to filling out a separate entry form this is no longer the case! All entries for the futurity must be made on the regular entry form; the futurity fees must be paid up by their deadline in order to be eligible to show.

The exhibitors survey and judges selection form will be in each exhibitor’s packet; please take a few minutes to complete it and return it to the show secretary, one of the committee members or mail it to the show's PO Box. This is one of the ways we can maintain a good balance and also allows the exhibitors to select the judges for 2008; BONUS is a drawing for a free stall for 2007 from one lucky survey.

So, we have taken many of the suggestions from the 2006 exhibitors and revised the schedule, classes, awards and surprises for 2007. We think you’ll like the changes and best of luck!
