Allen Barnes, EPD stated that he was committed to doing everything within his power to make the geospatial approach relevant with the people of the state of Georgia. He stressed on the importance of showing the Investment and the return of the Investment. He also expressed his appreciation to the people and attendees on how devoted and passionate they have been toward this purpose.

Member/Affiliate Council, Introduction
The attendees introduced themselves. Some members sent delegates (see Attendee list). There was a good spread of professionals in attendance representing the private sector, academia, state agencies, non-profit organizations and some more. Each stated their organizations' interests in the Geospatial system. Prince Weasley* mentioned that the Geospatial was important because it would save the state of Georgia total money in assets.

Terry Jackson, DCA presented a slide show on the history of GIS in Georgia. The website http://www.Georgiaspatial.org/?page_id=36 has more information on what he presented.

Individuals representing larger communities of interest presented their Top 5 Gespatial Issues in Georgia as it pertained to their organization. A recurring theme was data accuracy, precision and timing. Also, Data Accuracy was cited by some of the presenters. The companies that cited their issues were CGRC, Georgia URISA, SAMSOG, GAFM, ASPRS, GISCC and MAPPs.
Danielle Ayan presented Next Steps for the GGAC. She cited the agenda and a GGAC Mission & Goals handout previously circulated.

· On Jan 7 Council: meet + discuss recommendations
· By Feb 11 Council produces final audit report and recommendations + Presentation to Legislature

Short Q&A Session while trying to communicate with Bill Burgess via WebEx Telecon.
Question 1: Regarding the planned Sept 3 Training of http://ga.gisinventory.net (intended tool to roll-out the statewide geospatial audit): Will a 2nd training be available, in the event that one cannot attend the Sept 3 Training? (Note: Labor Day is the following Mon)
Answer: The WebEx will be recorded for those who won't be available. It will be available at any time.
4 GGAC affiliates are co-hosting the Geospatial Conference Oct 21st-22nd; this event will be leveraged to capture live geospatial ROIs throughout the conference. Awards would be given for the highest votes determined through the submittal impacts.

Bill Burgess corresponds through audio conference while presenting the http://ga.gisinventory.net framework for our statewide geospatial audit. PowerPoint can be made available to anyone requesting it.
Tool: GISInventory.net. Framework is in place in order to push the audits out. It maps many of the questions and answers (not all). Great Reporting system to include in the final audit document.
Purpose of the GIS Inventory is to track the status of the local and state government geospatial capabilities.
Important features of the inventory:
Avoid duplication.
NSGIC tool is the tool Danielle would like to see the council use.
