PRESS RELEASE
Agfa Graphicsto demonstrate Arziro and Fortuna at Tax Stamp Forum (US)
Advanced design and copy-sensitive authentication codes for the newest security applications.
Mortsel, Belgium – October30, 2015
At the Tax Stamp Forum 2015 in Miami, FL, United States, Agfa Graphics will demonstrate its security software products Arziro and Fortuna. The conference will be focused new developments in excise stamp specification, as well as the production and implementation for alcohol and tobacco products.
“New trends in the production of tax stamps require new design tools, which in turn create new possibilities”, said Quentin van den Hove, Product Manager Security Software Solutions Agfa Graphics. “Not at the least the advent of digital printing alternatives and given technical boundary conditions, open the path for creative ideas for the production of Tax Stamps, amongst others”.
With the demonstration of the newest generation graphics creation software tools for security applications, Agfa Graphics underlines its dedication to this industry, an industry that is eager to introduce new features that help against counter fitters and illegal product distribution.
Arziro Design is a security design solution running as a plug-in for Adobe Illustrator Mac and PC containing two design utilities and ten dedicated security design tools. Very complex and therefore secure backgrounds can be created within seconds while pushing the limits of creativity.
Traditional designs can also be fluently combined with very complex and hard-to-copy Arziro designs.
Fortuna v9.0 is the latest version Agfa Graphics’ digital design and assembly system for the high-end security printing market. Fortuna software features different levels of verification tools – both for the expert and for non-qualified end users who can simply determine a true product from a fake one.
The latest version of Fortuna includes significant improvements and new design features.
Quentin van den Hove, Product Manager Security Software Solutions Agfa Graphics, will speak at the conference about using copy-sensitive track & trace codes and security design tools and the advantages this brings.
“Some Track&Trace codes contain copy-sensitive technology so they can also be used for authentication too. This brings a couple of advantages, especially if the codes are readable with smartphones. The use of copy-sensitive Track&Trace codes in combination with the technical advances of digital printing machines opens the path towards a more intensive usage of digital presses. This allows for more periodical changes to the design and makes the life of a counterfeiter more difficult.
