  1. The competition opens on 9:00am(Adelaide time) on 17.03.2015 and closes 5:00pm (Adelaide time) on 07.04.2015
  2. To enter the competition you must make some art which shows the importance of home to health and wellbeing. The art can be in any form that can be printed on paper or canvassuch as a drawing, painting or photo.
  3. Works of art should be A3 size (33cm by 47cm) or less.
  4. To submit your art to the competition you must fill in the form above and agree to these terms and conditions and securely attach it to your work of art. Works of art and the form must be sent in the mail to:

You can also take a photo of your art and email it to , together with a photo or scanned copy of the form above. If you cannot take a photo of your art or send it to Clemmi, please call or email her to discuss a way to submit your artwork.

  1. Works of art that are submitted without a form attached cannot be considered in the competition. It is your responsibility to ensure that the form is securely attached to the work of art or sent via email.
  2. You may only enter one artwork in the competition.
  3. You can enter this competition if you came to Australia as a refugee or asylum seeker and are over 18 years of age.
  4. The artwork will be judged on how well it shows the connection between housing and health in a positive way, as well as on technique and overall expression.
  5. The winning artworks will be used by the Southgate Institute for Health, Society and Equity at Flinders University. The artwork will be used as promotional material for a research project concerning the relationship between housing and health for refugees and asylum seekers, and other relevant research Flinders University considers appropriate. Submission of your artwork implies that you give permission for your art to be used in this way. Copyright for the artwork remains with the artist.
  6. The winners of the competition will be judged on the criteria outlined in point 8 above by a panel from Flinders University. There will be 3 winners who will all receive a prize of a $150 voucher. The winners will be announced and contacted by 17.04.2015.
  7. If you would like to collect your artwork back, please contact Clemence Due after the winner is announced and organise a time to collect your artwork. If you fail to arrange collection of your artwork within 20 working days from the date the winner is announced, the artwork becomes the property of Flinders University, unless otherwise agreed by the parties in writing.
  8. Apart from using your personal information as described in these Terms and Conditions which you hereby consent to, your personal information will not be disclosed to any third parties and will only be used by Flinders University as described in these Terms and Conditions
  9. You represent and warrant that the artwork is your sole original work and that you possess unencumbered title to the artwork. You indemnify Flinders University for any breach of copyright or intellectual property against another person, given that Flinders University will be using the artwork for promotional purposes.
  10. You grant the Flinders University a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable licence to use, adapt, reproduce, distribute and publish your artwork for the purposesdescribed in these Terms and Conditions (in particular points 9 and 10).
