3 Star & 4 Star Senior Cadet Training weekend 31stJan-2nd Feb 2014 (revised)
INTRODUCTION
1.The 3 & 4 star Training will be held over the weekend 31st January – 2nd February 2014. The Training will be held at Waterbeach CTC and the following subjects will be taught or assessed, Skill at Arms, Fieldcraft and Map & Compass, Shooting, JCIC (CFIT) & 1st Aid. All will fall within the Safe System of Training.
TIMINGS
2.Candidates are to report, under Company arrangements, to Waterbeach CTC by 2000hrs on Friday 31st January 2014 (NO EARLIER THAN 1930).
The Course will disperse at 1515hrs on Sunday 2nd February, or when the Centre is clean. ALL Adults will be expected to remain at the CTC until ALL cadets have dispersed.
DRESS
3.ALL RANKS are to arrive dressed in smart MTP including Jackets and CLEAN boots. Webbing is also required for SAA lessons.
COST
4.The cost for the weekend will be £20, which is to be paid via Company HQ. Cadets who have been accepted on the course and fail to show up, will be charged to their Company Headquarters for immediate payment. Company HQ’s are to pay the CEO for cadets accepted on Westminster as at 13th January 2014, which is the closing date for bids. Detachments are NOT to accept their cadets on Westminster.
ACCOMODATION
5.Cadets will be accommodated at Waterbeach CTC and fed centrally. First meal will be breakfast on Saturday 1st February, last meal to be on Sunday lunch time. Sleeping bags and the normal overnight items should be brought.
INSTRUCTORS
6.CTO, Company Training Officers,Capt Pilcher,RSMI, CSM 3 Coy, CSM 1 Coy, SSI P Clark, 2 Adults per Company who have attended Frimley Park SAA or Instructors Course. If bids exceed 1:10 ratio then more staff will be required from the Company.
TRAINING PROGRAMME
7.The CTO will produce a full training programme as required by APC Syllabus 1999 para 0552-0554 when bids are confirmed.
CANDIDATES
8.Bids for this course need to be submitted on Westminster by 13th January 2014.

CONCLUSION
10.Cadets who have passed some 3 star subjects should be actively encouraged by their Detachment Commanders to attend this training. The AIM is to progress cadets through their 3 Star APC to completion before the end of March 2014 (Except Expedition).
There are currently 89 cadets training 3 star that have not completed JCIC in Cambs ACF.
Future 3 Star weekends for All cadets who have passed their 2 Star.
7-9th March 2014, Easter Camp 18th – 21st April.
