About Secluded Acres

Secluded Acres Horse Ranch. LLC is owned and operated byAmyBrookens. Located 7 miles east ofCubaCitywhere we breed, raise and show registered paint horses. I proudly stand my stallion “Some R Trophy Boys”, aka barn name “Shadow” …what makes his foals so highly sought after is the fact he is Double Homozygous, which means he will never sire a solid colored foal and all his foals will be black & white or bay/brown & whitein color. He comes with a color guarantee that means no “redcolored foals” will be produced;those red colored foals arecalledsorrels and chestnuts.
Amyalong with her husband Randy, who owns and operates Non-Metallic Components of Cuba City, moved here in the fall of 1999. They have 2 daughters Ashley, 23 and Alexa, 20. Both daughters are Dental Assistants with Cuba City Family Dental.
Secluded Acres Horse Ranch was started in 2005. We strive to be that quality Paint Horse breeder in today’s competitive horse industry. We look for size, color, conformation, disposition and pedigree along with color to Halter and then go on to make great All-Around Performers.Amycurrently has her horses located all over theUnited Statesand overseas inAustralia,Ecuador,Argentina,Thailandand most recentlyBeijing.
Amy’s background:
I was introduced to my first black & white pony at the age of 6. I’ve been involved in horses ever since. I owe a lot of my horse knowledge to my parents Norbert and Bonnie Pluemer ofRewey,WI. They hauled me all over theMidwestso I could show my pony and as I grew older, horses. I started showing in small town open shows, 4-H and county fairs, then moved on to tougher competition in the Futurity money shows. TodayAmyfocuses all her time in raising and selling offspring produced by her stallion, which includes: stallion handling, breeding, mare care, foaling and preparing those foals for their new homes.
