Join us for Bingo on Monday nights in our Community Center. Doors open at 4:30 and Bingo starts at 7:00.

Eucharistic Adoration

There will be a Holy Hour followed by benediction on Wednesdays at 11:00am. The Legion of Mary will be reciting the Scriptural Rosary on the 1st Wednesday and the “Divine Mercy Adoration Companion” will be recited on all other Wednesdays. Booklets will be available.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus meetingsare held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Community Center.

The next meeting will be March 14th.

Legion of Mary

We meet every Wednesday after the 12:05 Mass at the Emmaus Building. All parishioners are welcome.

Parish Council

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 20th at 6:30pm in the Community Center. We are looking for new members. All parishioners are welcome to attend.

The Rosary

The Legion of Mary will pray the Rosary every Tuesday at 2:00pm in our Church. All our welcome to join us!

When you are doing your weekly shopping please let us remember those who are hungry and pick up something for Catholic Charities. Items may be dropped off in the sacristy. Suggested items are:

Cereal, jelly, pasta sauce, box mac & cheese, can soup, can vegetables, tuna, can beans, can spaghetti, juice, hot chocolate, oil, sugar, and salt. Thank for your help and God Bless!

Praying the Rosary

The rosary will be prayed every Wednesday night at 6:30pm in the Church. All are welcome to attend.

Parish Council

The next Parish Council meeting will be Tuesday, March 13th at 6:00 pm in our Parish Hall. All parishioners are encouraged to attend.

The Knitting Cluster

The Knitting Cluster will meet on Saturday, March 10th from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. Join us as we share our talents, faith and friendship.

OLPH Choir

The adult choir will practice weekly on Mondays in the Church starting at 6:45p.m.

Children’s choir will meet in the Convent on scheduled Monday’s at 5:00 pm.

Honey is available at the rectory during regular business hours. Two pound jars are $13.00 and One pound jars are $7.00.

Stations of the Cross

Stations of the Cross will be held each Friday in our Parish at 6:00p.m.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) for the Divine Mercy Faith Community is open to any adults who have not been baptized, who were baptized in a different Christian denomination, or who have not received the sacrament of Confirmation. Current parishioners would also be welcome to participate, either as instructors or as possible sponsors. Holy Hour for Vocations

On Thursday, March 15th, come join in praying with Bishop Cote a Eucharistic Holy Hour for Vocations. This month the holy hour will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Quaker Hill, CT from 6:00-7:00p.m. Come pray for those who are called to priestly or consecrated religious life and for our seminarians and those in the process of applying to the Diocese.

38th Annual Layette Program

The Norwich Diocesan Council of Catholic Women will hold its Annual Layette Program on Sunday, April 22nd, starting at 2pm, Christ the King Church, 1McCurdy Road, Old Lyme. All women of the Diocese are welcome to come help build the Layette. Please bring baby items such as baby clothes from Newborn to Toddler 3, as well as blankets, diapers, ect. Baby items are greatly needed by our Norwich Diocese families and will be donated to Catholic Charities to distribute. Representatives of Catholic Charities will be in attendance to gratefully accept our donations.

Blood Drive

A Blood drive will be held at Saint Bernard School, Uncasville, CT on Thursday March 1st from 8:00am – 1:00pm in the school’s gymnasium. Please call 960-848-1271 to make an appointment!

Prom Dresses Wanted!

For Operation Fairytale

Have a Prom dress taking up space in your closet? Donate them to a great cause! You can donate Prom/Formal dresses – all sizes; Formal dress shoes; jewelry, handbags, and other accessories. Local girls will be able to “shop” for a free Prom dress from donations made by the community. Saint Bernard school is partnering with Kidsignments in Norwich to provide gowns to teens who cannot afford one. Please drop off your gently used dresses, shoes and accessories to Saint Bernard School, 1595 Norwich-New London Tpke, Uncasville by March 20th. Come explore the richness of our worship: try Choir this winter as we prepare Holy Week and Easter. We invite you to join the Divine Mercy Choir—a large choir of Adults and Teens drawn from all 3 parishes. We are beginning preparations to walk with Jesus during the Triduum (the Three Great Days). AOB Organ update

The St. John organ is hanging in there. Swell manual is working well again—even the Flutes (8’, 4’, 2’) and mixtures are sounding forth again  YOUR PRAYERS are keeping this organ playing—thank you!!

NEXT ORGAN FUNDRAISER: St. Patrick Day Dinner, Saturday, March 17th, in the St. John Community Center, serving from 5:30 to 7 pm. Tickets available starting this weekend! Please buy in advance so we know how much food to buy. Thank you!

The delicious Mardi Gras Dinner raised $423.70 thanks to all the food donations by the St. John choirs, the ticket sales and generous parishioner donations.
