INDIAN LAKEBOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING

APRIL 22, 2009

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Indian Lake Borough Council was held on April 22, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at the Indian Lake Borough Building.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Michael Miscoe, Council President.

ORDER OF BUSINESS

1.Welcome Visitors - Mark Good, Tom O’Toole, and Jim Lyons.

2.Open 2009 Road Paving Bids - Bid tabulation forms were given to Council Members. Bids for the Paving were opened and quotes were as follows:

New Enterprise Stone & Lime$245,833.20

H.R.I.$286,758.40

Quaker Sales Corp.$251,957.75

Moore made a motion that upon review of the bid specifications, and they are found to be in order, the lowest bid furnished by New Enterprise Stone & Lime, in the amount of $245,833.20 be accepted. Dewar seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

3.2009 Stone Aggregate Bids – Bids for the stone aggregates were opened and the quotes were as follows:

#8 AASHTO 2RC Material #3 AASHTO #1 AASHTO

New Enterprise Stone $14.55 $10.70 $13.10 $13.10

Svonavec, Inc. 15.40 10.90 12.90 12.90

Garrett Limestone 16.50 11.70 13.00 13.00

Moore made a motion to accept the bid furnished by New Enterprise Stone & Lime for the #8 AASHTO and the 2RC Material and to accept the bid furnished by Svonavec, Inc. for the #3 AASHTO and the #1 AASHTO. Dewar seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

4.Authorization to Pay Maust Bill – McCauley made a motion to pay the Maust Bill, in the amount of $35,028.98 from the line of credit from PNC Bank. Dewar seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

5. Old Business: None.

6. New Business: None.

7. Public Comment:

James Lyons questioned Attorney Rullo if he contacted Somerset County Building Inspectors and asked them to cancel their inspection at the Lodge today because he was not available to attend? Attorney Rullo stated that he has not talked to anyone from Somerset County Building Inspectors since the last Council Meeting, he has not been instructed by Council to attend any inspections, nor was he aware that an inspection was to happen at the Lodge today.

At 7:23 P.M. Vogel made a motion to go into Executive Session for attorney client privilege and potential litigation matters. Dewar seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

At 8:21 P.M. Council returned to Regular Session.

With no further business to discuss, Vogelmoved and Mooreseconded to adjourn the meeting at8:21 P.M. All ayes, motion carried.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Indian Lake Borough Council will be held on May13, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at the Indian Lake Borough Building.
