Gate 2 is closed permanently.

Preferred route: Please use gate 1 (24/7) at exit 11 on I-25 (also labeled Randall Ave). A general rule – once on base, do not go under any underpasses – they are low and narrow and we don’t want you to bump your head. From gate 1, continue on Randall Ave to the second stop light; go left onto Old Glory Rd. At the next light, go right onto Missile Dr (past the commissary). Continue on Missile Dr (apx 1 mile) until you see the FamCamp sign on the side of the road. Turn onto the gravel road at the sign and follow it though the trees into the camp. If the hospitality office is not open, there will be a sign on the door with available sites listed. There will also be maps on the office window. We are only minimally staffed during the‘off-season’. The best part is that the rate drops to only $10/night when the water is shut off.

Alternate routes:If your overall rig height is less than 11’6”, proceed straight on Randall Ave apx 1½ miles (past some housing and administrative buildings) to a sign pointing toward a road under one of those lower underpasses. That road will take you directly into the camp. Most GPS’s will take you on this route.

Another option is to use Gate 5 (exit 12 on I-25). This gate is open M-F, 6am-6pm only and is also the commercial gate. Campers do not have to go through the commercial truck inspection station. After clearing the gate, proceed straight west on Central Ave. This road will curve to the left or south some, stay on it. Cross the railroad tracks and a large bridge; it will curve more toward the east and become Missile Dr. Turn left on the gravel road just before a small brown sign saying ‘FamCamp picnic area’. Follow this road into the camp.

Road damage: We experienced some road damage during the recent several weeks of rain and flooding. If the entrance road off Missile Dr into the camp is closed due to flooding, an alternative route would be to turn right onto Creek Dr S .1 mi past the 4-way stop sign. About ½ mi up that road and just before you would go under an underpass, turn left onto the gravel road (Diamond Creek Rd) and follow the road over the hill into camp. It is washboarded, so go slow when you reach the gravel road.

Non-winterized camp: CE has shut the water off at the campsites for the winter. So you will have electricity only at your campsite….no water, no sewer. The dump station is also closed. Come on in though. The camp is still open and the showers and laundry area are warm and ready for you year-round, 24/7.
