Dr. Krishna Murari(MBA, UGC NET and PhD)joined Sikkim University as an Assistant Professor in Department of Management in May 2014. He has done his PhD (as per UGC 2009 guidelines) titled ‘An Empirical Analysis of the Performance of Indian Banking: Under CAMEL Model Approach)’ from Mody Institute of Technology & Science, Rajasthan in 2013 and MBA (Finance & Control) with Honours from University of Lucknow in 2004. He has publication in International refereed journals (6), National refereed journals (9), Edited Books (3) and in conference proceedings (1). Apart from this, Dr. Murari has participated and presented papers in international conferences (6), national conferences (6) and attended faculty development programmes (2), orientation programme (1) and workshop (1). Before joining the Sikkim University, he served the Mody Institute of Technology & Science (Deemed University) as an assistant professor where he was the Member Secretary of Board of Studies of Department of Commerce and Member of Academic Programme Committee. Further, he played a significant role in designing the curriculum structure & course description of Master of Finance & Control at Mody Institute of Technology & Science during 2009-10. During his last 10 years of academic career, he has been the mentor for various NCFM modules and was involved in many administrative activities (like Project In-charge, Academic coordinator, Member of Admission committee, In-charge of merit list preparation etc.). He worked with IDBI bank as financial consultant for one year and as lecturer at J.L.N. Institute of Management, Etah for two years. His areas of interest include Corporate Finance, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Statistical Analysis, Financial Econometrics and Banking. Besides this he has an expertise in performing data analysis using statistical software (Minitab, EViews and SPSS)
