Job Title: Recruitment Assistant and Experiential Development Leader
Reporting to: Outdoor School Curriculum Manager

1. Purposeof the Role:

To assist the Outdoor School Curriculum Manager with recruitment and coordination of the college’s experiential learning projects. To lead sessions and learning programmes within the Outdoor Department with a strong emphasis upon experiential learning and social development.

2.Dutiesand Responsibilities:

a)Assist the Curriculum Manager in building links with schools and community groups to recruit

students for the Outdoor School, Princes Trust and NCS project.

b)Assist in the recruitment of participants for NCS projects and other experiential learning courses.

c)Work with the Curriculum Manager to seek out and develop opportunities to use different youth recruitment routes.

d)Assist, design and deliver training for experiential development leaders and assistant leaders.

e)Assist, design and deliver keeping warm activity and communication.

f)Assist manage NCS and Outdoor School administration as required.

g)Promote the NCS and Outdoor School through social media as required.

h)Manage day to day running of groups of learners.

i)Design programmes of activity and liaise with third parties to ensure effective delivery.

j)Manage assistants, volunteers, mentors and instructors as required.

k)Deliver both experiential learning programmes and outdoor sessions as required.

l)Provide a positive role model for learners.

m)Promote high levels of customer service at all times and maintain a professional image.

n)Ensure that personal qualifications remain valid and current.

o)Keep up to date with industry recommendations and requirements.

p)Assist with general maintenance tasks within the Outdoor School as required.
