Dear Supporters of River Lakes Hockey,
River Lakes Hockey is a growing organization that is currently providing over 300 area youths with an opportunity to play hockey in a safe and fun environment. With growth,comes the challenge of providing a facility sufficient to welcome even more youth that are excited about playing hockey. We are excited to share with you that our board of directors was presented with the opportunity to receive use of the entire structure at the Koronis Arena in Paynesville including the south end of the building that was previously utilized as the Paynesville Township Hall. The additional space is going to allow us to fill the need for more locker room space. Currently our High School teams don’t have a dedicated space to store and dry their equipment during the week. With our Learn To Skate, and Mite program attracting so many local youth, on various week nights and weekends kids don’t have room to get their skates tied, and are competing for space with incoming teams. Our intent is to share these two locker rooms between the High School and youth programs throughout the entire season.
To aid in completing this exciting project, the River Lakes board of directors has established a Koronis Rink Improvement Fund, through River Lakes Hockey, which is a 501c3 charitable organization. The initial purpose of this fund is to provide River Lakes Hockey with the capability of completing the locker room renovation. Thereafter, the fund will be kept in place to aid further improvements and upkeep that come with an arena that provides a safe and clean place for so many youths to enjoy the sport they love.
Our goal is to raise $75,000 for the locker room and other much needed improvements. With that, we are asking for your support of River Lakes Hockey and more specifically the Koronis Rink Improvement Fund. Please join us in continuing the vision of creating FUN through positive life experiences for the youth in our local communities by supporting this exciting project!
