What is your organization’s mission statement?
The Friends of the Scottsdale Library garner community support for enhanced and expanded Scottsdale Public Library services, programs and collections.
Description of organization’s primary activities and/or events (60 words or less):
The Friends use membership funds to support Library youth programs including the Summer Reading Program and Book Buddies which brings authors and illustrators into Scottsdale schools, motivating students to write, draw and read. Every year the Friends of the Scottsdale Public Library honor three people that have made significant contributions to literacy in our community through the Spirit of Literacy Awards. Other activities include sponsoring author visits and book signings.

Second Wednesday of each month, 4:30-6:00 p.m.
