ReadingYou should read 5 out of 7 days a week for at least 10 minutes. Parents/carers are asked to sign the record sheet each day their child reads.
In your Reading Comprehension strategies groups you will be sent home additional weekly tasks to help you with your current strategy. Please ensure these are completed each week and handed in to your group’s teacher.

Be a FundraiserCan you think of a fun, realistic and achievable idea to help raise money for the Benmore bus. Be prepared to pitch your idea to the year group!
Be You 1!Record an activity that you have undertaken recently and discuss the skills that you have developed whilst doing it. /
Be a Safety InspectorAfter put trip to the Risk Factory (3/10/17) look around your house for possible hazards. Share with someone at home respectfully on how you can correct it. Could you even check your fire alarm once a week? / Be a Reporter
Watch the news/Newsround or cut out a newspaper article that you are interested in. Be prepared to discuss your thoughts and say why you think the article is important.
Be You 2!Record an activity that you have undertaken recently and discuss the skills that you have developed whilst doing it. / Be Respectful
Discuss with an adult the 8articles on your class charter and the respectful behaviours that you have agreed to demonstrate in class. /
Be Social Media SavvyAs we explore how to stay safe online, make a poster to share with the class your top safety tips.
