Role Title / Customer Services Team Intern
Role Description / As our Customer Service Intern you will take responsibility for supporting the team with administrative processes in regards to equipment provision, Children and Young People’s Services. You will be working with various members of staff across the team and will gain a good insight into the workplace as well as administration processes and the workings of a charity.
You will have the opportunity to develop excellent customer service skills, and will require a confident telephone manner and good knowledge of Microsoft packages. You will work as part of a supportive team, but will also require the ability to work independently and have the confidence to work from your own initiative or with others to deliver work in a timely way.
Main Tasks / You will be required to carry out various administrative tasks for the Customer Services team including but not limited to:
  • Client calls to obtain equipment provision information
  • Process applications for equipment and our Young
People’s services
  • Send out pre-clinic forms andaftercare packs
  • Data input application forms ontoour database
  • Send out waiting list introduction letters
  • Scanning & post
  • Update post Ambassador Club paperwork on our
database
  • Client calls to confirm attendance to our Young People’s
services
  • Research to support service delivery

Skills and Experience needed /
  • Confident telephone skills
  • Outgoing and, enthusiastic
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work without too much direction
  • IT literate. Especially use of Microsoft Excel, and ability to work with spreadsheets and a lot of data.
  • Experience of using a database is preferred but not required.
Training will be provided. The successful intern will need to go through a DBS check before they can start this position. Whizz-Kidz will help organise and pay for this.
