I am honored and pleased to announce that in 2012 Fastenal is once again hosting it’s Fastenal Industrial & Construction Customer Expo at the Indianapolis Distribution Center on Tuesday, April 2nd , Wednesday, April 3rd and Thursday, April 4th .

This year we have over 200 committed suppliers ready to showcase their latest products. Highlights of this year’s show once again will include tours of the Distribution Center’s advanced ASRS system, Cost Savings and OSHA Seminars, exposure to our FAST Solutions lineup, and of course are valued suppliers that are on hand to demonstrate their latest products and solutions.

The goal is for you to walk away with a clear understanding of everything that Fastenal can do to help increase revenue flow, reduce inventory, and cut total costs. We believe that the time spent at this expo will benefit your business immediately and help reach your goals in 2011 and beyond.

This show is supported by our valued suppliers which mean this expo is a minimal cost to you! The show provides transportation (chartered flights, commercial airline tickets, hotel stays, as well as breakfast and lunch during the expo days).

Breakfast & Lunch at the Expo:

A grab and go breakfast will be provided onsite for all attendees in the morning. A BBQ style lunch will be provided all show days between the hours of 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM

Weather in Indianapolis, IN

The weather for this time of year is unpredictable. Average temperature is in the 60’s-70’s with possibility of rain. Make sure to dress accordingly!

Dress Code:

The dress code during the expo is business casual. An example would be a button down shirt or polo and dress/casual pants. (Fastenal work wear is preferred for Fastenal employees.)

Supplier Booths:

Over 200 suppliers will be available to work with you and demonstrate firsthand why their product is better than the competition and why YOU should purchase from Fastenal. In addition, Fastenal will have onsite FAST Solutions demos, Industrial Services, Government, Manufacturing, Cold Heading, Holo-Krome, Engineering, Exclusive Brands and many more value added services.

Tours and Seminars

Cost Savings and OSHA seminars along with tours of the ASRS system will be available during the expo. Work with your Fastenal representative to sign up to get a first hand look at the latest Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) and learn ways to save money and increase safety for your company.

ADDITIONAL EXPO DETAILS

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

The Show Coordinators will be making all of the hotel reservations for you. Working with your Fastenal Representative and properly filling out the hotel accommodation questions on the registration website will inform us of the hotel stay and the night the hotel room is needed. The name of the hotel in which you will be staying will be posted to the website at a later date.

Check-in is 3pm and check-out is 11am. This is standard for all hotels. For those arriving earlier than check-in time, the hotel bell stand can hold the luggage.

Employees will be roomed with another employee from their same region. Customers will be paired with another customer from the same company if they are of the same gender. All other customers will be placed in a single room. Roommate info will be posted to the website at a later date.

AIRPORT TO HOTEL TRANSPORTATION:

There will be transportation from the airport to the contracted hotels and back again during the expo days. This includes both chartered flights and commercial flights.

HOTEL TO EXPO TRANSPORTATION:

Transportation will be provided from the contracted hotels to the expo and back again. Shuttle service details will be sent at a later date and posted in the lobby of each hotel.

FEDERAL RULES FOR CHECKED BAGGAGE

TRANSPORTATION OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS

·  Federal law forbids the carriage of hazardous materials aboard aircraft in your luggage or on your person.

·  A violation can result in five years imprisonment and penalties of $250,000 or more (49 U.S.C. 5124).

·  Hazardous materials include explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives, radioactive materials and concealed weapons. Examples: Paints, lighter fluids, fireworks, tear gases, oxygen bottles, and radiopharmaceuticals.

·  There are special exceptions for small quantities (up to 70 ounces total) of medicinal and toilet articles carried in your luggage and certain smoking materials carried on your person.

TRANSPORTATION OF FIREARMS AND INSPECTION OF CHECKED BAGGAGE – FAA Regulations Require:

·  Firearms in checked baggage must be declared and unloaded.

·  Passengers failing to declare firearms or transporting loaded firearms are subject to substantial civil penalties.

·  Passengers with checked baggage may be asked to present identification and/or to permit inspection of their checked baggage.

·  Passengers refusing to present identification and/or permit checked baggage may not be transported.

FALSE STATEMENTS

Federal law prohibits any person from making false statements concerning hijacking or the carriage of weapons or explosives onboard aircraft.
