Bunordaithe (Standing Orders)
1. The proposer of a motion or amendment thereto may speak for 5 minutes but no longer.
2. A member speaking to a motion, or an amendment, shall not exceed 3 minutes.
3. The proposer of a motion may speak a second time for 3 minutes before a vote is taken but no other member may speak a second time to the same motion.
4. The Chairman shall, at any time he considers a matter has been sufficiently discussed, call on the proposer to reply and when that has been given, a vote must be taken.
5. A member may, with the consent of the Chairman, move “that the motion be now put” after which, when the proposer has spoken, a vote must be taken.
6. No interruption shall be allowed except on a point of order or information.
7. Members must address their remarks to the presiding Chairman and shall put questions or make replies through him.
- The meeting shall not be entitled to consider any matter not on the agenda, except with the consent of a majority comprising two-thirds of the votes of those present voting and entitled to vote.
- No motion for invalidation of proceedings at any meeting of the Club on any grounds shall succeed, unless such a motion be put at the time and in the place where the grounds arise.

Minutes of Annual General Meeting 4th December 2003
The 34th Annual General Meeting of Ballyboden St Endas GAA Camogie and Ladies Football Club was held at the Clubhouse on Thursday 4th December 2003 at 9.00 pm.

Chairman’s Address
The Chairman thanked all Club members who contributed to the success of the Club in the course of the previous 12 months, including players, coaches, managers, mentors, referees, board delegates, sponsors, those involved in fundraising and all others too numerous to mention.
In listing the achievements of the Club over the 12 months he mentioned the continued success of the summer camps under P J Donohue, Enda McNulty, and Brian O’Regan. He referred to the success of the Under 13A hurling team that won their league and the P J Troy tournament. He congratulated the Under 14 hurling team on reaching the All-Ireland Hurling Féile final and the Under 16 hurling team on winning the championship, all teams for representing the Club in competition, those players who represented their counties, and finally he wished every success to all those teams still involved in competition.
The Chairman referred to the successful completion of the sale of Oldcourt, the completion of the purchase of Sancta Maria, the plans that are in hand in respect of Sancta Maria, the plans for one or more skills walls and the plans for the refurbishment of the bar/shop/offices. He congratulated Noel Sheridan on his appointment as General Manager and wished him well for the future.
In relation to discipline the Chairman urged supporters to get behind all our teams and he emphasised the futility of abusing referees or disagreeing with their decisions; this only lead to indiscipline and the reduction of the reputation of the Club. The main thing is for all players, managers and supporters to work together to achieve success for the Club.
Secretary’s report
As the members has sufficient time to read through the Secretary’s report before the meeting commenced, the Secretary went through the report page by page.

Elections
The following were elected as tellers: Peter Shovlin, Brendan Timbs, Conor Hand, Paul Doran, Ciaran Smith.
President – Daithi Scolard being the only nominee was declared elected.
Vice-Presidents – Stephen Riney, Kevin Cardiff, Kathleen O’Sullivan and Liam Coffey were elected.
Chairman – Ronan Hore being the only nominee was declared elected.
Vice Chairman – There were two nominations and after a vote Niomh Madigan was elected.
Secretary – Paddy Walsh being the only nominee was declared elected.
Treasurer – Sinead McNeela being the only nominee was declared elected.
Asst. Secretary/Registrar – Vincent Harrington being the only nominee was declared elected.
Executive Committee – There were 7 nominations for 6 positions and after a vote the following were elected: Noel Browne, Pat Walsh, Lebby Galvin, Tommy O’Brien, Danny Griffin and Tonny Clinton.
Board delegates – As nominated by the Football, Hurling, Camogie, Ladies Football and Juvenile Committees.
Appointment of Auditors – Noel Leonard and Co were appointed.
There were no motions or recommendations.
Tuarascáil an Rúnaí – 2003 – Secretary’s Report
Is mór an onóir domsa an tuarascáil seo a chur os bhur gcomhar. It is a great honour, as Club Secretary, to be presenting this Secretary’s Report on the activities of the Club over the past 12 months. In the first part of the report I outline the activities of each playing section during the year. Those reports have already been presented to the AGMs of the relevant sections.
PART 1
FOOTBALL

Work of the Committee
The Committee met on 21 occasions in the course of the year. The work of the Committee included:
· Obtaining approval of Executive for various post holders
· Registration, regrading and transfers of players
· Networking with managers on team panels, playing arrangements, kit requirements, other needs
· Monitoring injury scheme and Membership
· Disciplinary matters including representation by the Football Chairman of players called before the County Board
· Attendance, mainly Chairman, at monthly Football Committee meetings of County Board in Parnell Park
· Approval of Expenses including seeking approval of Executive for once off large expenses
· Fundraising
· Contact with other sections
Successes on the Field
At the time of the 2003 AGM the Senior Football team had qualified for the playoffs for the Division 1 League. The team put in a superb display to comprehensively beat Thomas Davis and win the league outright.
The end of year was made even more successful when the Under 21A team won the Championship for 2003 and the Under 21 B team finishing as runners up. Congratulations to all.
The Senior team had a great year in 2004, managed initially by Sean Fitzmaurice and later jointly by Dan O’Sullivan and Niall Brennan. At the time of writing this report they are top of the league with all games played and are now in the top four play off. They had a really good Championship run defeating St Vincents, Round Towers Clondalkin, St Sylvesters and St Mary’s Saggart to reach the decider against south county rivals Kilmacud Crokes. Unfortunately the team found a very good Crokes team a bridge too far on this occasion and went down by three points.
The Junior B team, or “Eddie’s Eagles” to their many fans, had earlier brought home the first junior Championship title ever at adult football level to the club when they won the Junior C championship. The team thrilled the fans with their delightful brand of football through the year and equally with their good natured and expansive celebrations. The team defeated St Vincents in the Championship final. Many of the team had made their way back from holidays in Crete in the previous 24 hours and the display of all was a credit to the club. The Junior Bs have also won Division 9 of the league and are in the final of the Murphy Cup.
The Junior A team is in a play off position for promotion to Division 6 of the league and they are also in the final of the Parson Cup.
The Minor B team is in a reply of the final of the Minor Shield, i.e. Minor B Championship, having drawn with Kilmacud Crokes..
The Under 21 B team is in the semi final of the Under 21 C Championship.
Departures
The new year started in explosive fashion when, having secured the Division 1 league for 2003 shortly before, two of our star senior players, Darren Homan and Derek Byrne, announced their intention of transferring to Round Towers Clondalkin. The club tried all it could to dissuade the players from going but regretfully both were adamant that their decision stood. The performance of the seniors in the aftermath of the loss of two quality players is all the more admirable. The loss of the players was alleviated by the arrival of two fine players Kenny Naughton and Rory Hussey, who made a strong impact on the senior team.
Also Sean Fitzmaurice, the manager of the senior football team, announced his decision to vacate the job and Sean was replaced by his selectors Dan O’Sullivan and Niall Brennan. On behalf of the Football Committee I would like to thank Sean for his great and unselfish work with the senior team through a number of years.

Congratulations to all and our commiserations to Colin who suffered a horrendous arm break in a challenge game against Limerick which brought an unfortunate and untimely end to his football season with both the club and the Dubs. We look forward to having him back.
Club Membership
Membership for all is due for renewal on 1st January. Players are reminded of the importance of having their membership paid, otherwise injury scheme cover will not be in place for them. I would ask that all players renew in good time as failure to do so puts added undue pressures on the Football Committee and the team managements.
Kit
An ongoing problem with team management has been that of incomplete jersey sets. There have been a few instances, thankfully not too many, of substitutes having to exchange jerseys with players coming off due to teams having incomplete kits. Such occurences reflect badly on the club. As kitting out a team is a major expense I would request that all players are conscious of the need to give back jerseys to their team management at the end of each season.
Lotto
Please continue your support for the Lotto. The club last year made a loss of c.€200k. The Lotto is a vital fundraiser and in order to ensure that best facilities and equipment can be made available to the various sections it is vital that the finances of the club are maintained in good order.

It has been a busy, at times frustrating, but an enjoyable year. I would like to thank:
· In the first instance all the players for the commitment they showed in the year and the enjoyment they gave to us all
· The managers and mentors who gave so unselfishly of their time to bring our teams to peak fitness and performance.
· all those who helped with the thankless jobs including putting up and taking down nets, preparing the fields for matches, gate duty etc.

· the Executive under Ronan Hore, for their support
· our sponsors and particularly our main sponsor, Maplewood
