  1. DPG-AIDS has a new Bi-Lateral Lead Brian Rettmann, PEPFAR Country Coordinator that will officially start as the Lead in June. UNAIDS has been re-elected as multilateral Co-Lead.
  1. Status of key documents on HIV/AIDS
  2. Investment Case on HIV – launch of full IC in June or July, date TBC.
  3. National Comprehensive Condom Strategy – finalised; launch date TBC.Red flag: Foreseen gap of availability of condoms for 2017.
  4. Gender Operational Plan for the HIV Response in Mainland– being finalised; launch in various regions, starting from Mwanza on 4 June.
  5. Prevention Operational Plan 2016-2018 –validation date TBC.
  6. Key Populations mapping –data collection on-going.
  7. Zanzibar National AIDS Plan (ZNSP) III – to be finalised in June.
  8. Mid-term review of NMSF III –Process expected to start in July.
  9. Biennial HIV Review – Meeting is expected in Sept/October.
  10. AIDS Trust Fund – Commencement waiting for appointment of board members and trustees before it is operational. Final draft Resource Mobilisation Strategy and Operations Manual available. 6 billion Tsh allocated for FY 2016/7, 3 billion Tsh for previous FY.
  11. HIV and AIDS Prevention and Control Act (HAPCA) and HIV and AIDS policy – revised, waiting for high level approval.
  12. Tanzania HIV Impact Assessment Survey (THIS) – started.
