Attention all Preston County residents interested in applying for a concealed weapon permit. We are not accepting certain training certificates due to the fact that the instructors refuse to sign a letter required by our department stating that they give the class according to the West Virginia State Code. These instructors include:

Michael Neely- Jerry's Sporting Goods

John Millay- Martinsburg,... WV

Jason Lanham- Summersville, WV

Justin Prickett- Clarksburg, WV

Darral Bennett Jr- Morgantown, WV

Also, we do not accept the class currently being given in Maryland for Utah reciprocity as a form of training. It has come to my knowledge this class is being advertised- it does not qualify under WV state code!
