The money raised will help the McGrath Foundation place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia as well as increasing breast awareness in young people. McGrath Breast Care Nurses help families in Australia experiencing breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment. This support is provided free of charge and can be accessed through self-referral.

With 117 McGrath Breast Care Nurses working right across the country and having supported more than 50,000 families – the McGrath Foundation are certainly on their way to achieving their goal. However there is more work to be done if the McGrath Foundation is to achieve its vision that every family experiencing breast cancer has access to a breast care nurse, no matter where they live or their financial situation.
