The new split of Schools and tasks within the HR Operations Team:

Each Senior/HR Assistant will administer the full employment lifecycle for their assigned Schools; advertising, issuing new and amending existing contracts, Oracle updates, maternity, secondments, relocations, scholarships and terminations.

Below are the tasks that are not split by School.

NB – Please can you send all queries and OCRs to to ensure that they are always picked up.

Senior HR Administrators (with input from the HR Operations staff and HR Advisory staff as appropriate):

Work associated with Fixed Term Contracts:

1 – Fixed term contracts over 6 months and under 2 years (end of fixed term contract process) and fixed term contracts over 2 years (redundancy process) – effective for contracts with a fixed term ending date of June 2017 and beyond

2 – Short-term and J contracts – as per the information noted in box 1 (split of Schools and tasks within the HR Operations Team) – effective immediately e.g. Jen Hurley will look after short-term and J contracts for Health & Divinity

3 – D contracts – Jen Hurley and Audrey Chalmers – effective immediately

Work associated with the Support Regrading panels:

NB – The June panel includes the contribution reward applications.

Work associated with Academic Promotions:

Zsuzsanna Kadlecsik is undertaking this work this year.

Work associated with Visiting and Honorary Professor requests:

Work associated with Grading of Posts:

Work associated with Immigration and Visa Fee Loan queries:

Dawn Hamilton will be the main contact until mid-April following which Zsuzsanna will also provide support.

HR Advisory staff:

We have two Senior HR Advisors (Lindsey and Lisa) who provide dedicated advisory support to their own areas, as noted below, but with oversight of their HR Advisor’s areas too.
