Adding and Dropping Courses

2.  For full semester courses, how many days do you have to drop a course in order to avoid having it show up on your permanent record?

Courses dropped through the 14th calendar day of sessions seven weeks or longer or the 7th calendar day of sessions shorter than seven weeks will not be shown on the student’s permanent record.

3.  After that time frame, what shows up on your permanent record to indicate that you have dropped a course? Courses dropped after these days will be shown on the permanent record with withdrawal grades of "W". How does this affect your GPA? It doesn’t affect the GPA.

Academic Status and Retention

After completing seven (7) hours of coursework, students will be placed on Academic Warning when their overall combined GPA is below 2.00 OR the term GPA is below 1.00.

10.  What two requirements are put in place for students on Academic Warning?

Students on Academic Warning must 1. Successfully complete a workshop and pass the related quiz; and 2. Submit an Enrollment Agreement with the Center for Academic Retentionand Enrichment Services, and satisfy the requirements in the Agreement. Failure to satisfy these requirements will lead to administrative withdrawal from all classes for any future terms.

Any student who has ever been placed on Academic Warning status will be placed on Academic Probation if:overall combined GPA is below 2.00, OR the term GPA is below 2.00.
