Steve Norton has been appointed as Gym Manager and he will oversee the entire operation, which has already created 30 jobs for the area. Shane Howarth has been selected for the role of Assistant Gym Manager, and will share responsibility of the gym with Steve.
Steve, who hails from Lincoln, has over nine years experience in the industry since leaving Lincoln University with a 1st class honoursdegree in Recreation Management. His vast background includes hands-on instructor and personal training roles through to a strong management background working for national gym chains. He said: “I am delighted to be working with a company that 100% focuses on members needs, it is a complete break from the norm in this industry and refreshing for the area. Assistant Manager Shane Howarth is no stranger to the world of fitness and has over 13 years experience both locally and internationally, most recently as Senior Fitness Director for cruise giant Steiner Transocean, as well as Al Bustan Palace, Muscat, andGleneagles Luxury Hotel in Scotland. He was also the personal trainer to senior politicians, including a very famous UK ex-prime minister and royalty around the world from Europe to the Middle East. In their spare time Steve plays golf, walks his dog, and plays for a local six a side football team, as well as enjoying beach holidays. Shane is a keen Petanque player (a form of boules), who has also played at club, regional, national and international level, and also enjoys football, tennis andexercise in general.
