Sanctity of Human Life Sunday – Today, and especially in our time of worship this morning, we celebrate that our God is a God of Life – the God who affirms the value, the importance, and the significance of life created in His own image. We join with Christian Reformed Churches throughout the United States and Canada in affirming that every human life is valuable and worthy of respect and care because every life reflects the image of the God we love and serve.

Valentine’s Banquet- The Evangelism Committee will be once again hosting a banquet for the greater Ocheyedan area. The theme of this banquet is Valentine’s Day – celebrating God’s Love and His gift of Love. This year’s banquet will be held on Valentine’s Day Eve - Monday evening, February 13, 2017. The Banquet will begin with the punch bowl at 6:00 pm and dinner at 6:30 pm. To register your free reservations please call Peter or Bertie Runia at 712-758-3371. Feel free to leave a message. Loving Assistance Requested – The Evangelism Committee will be setting up for the annual banquet for the greater Ocheyedan area on Sunday afternoon, February 12 from 1 pm to 3 pm. We will need the loving assistance of many willing hands to put up the ceiling lights; set up the tables and chairs, and to help with decorating the tables among other things. Please prayerfully consider joining us on Sunday afternoon, February 12 to help set up for this exciting event.

The pinewood derby race for cadets has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 1. Bring your car to the next meeting if you need help leading it.

It’s time for the church Audit. Please turn in your completed books to the Deacons. The Audit is to be completed by January 31, 2017.

People’s Choice – Sunday evening, January 29, 2017 will be another Peoples’ Choice service. Be sure to submit your favorite Psalms, Hymns and/or spiritual Songs no later than Sunday, January 15, 2016 to be included in this service of praise! Thanks!

MINNIKOTA YOUTH WINTER RETREAT 2017 -The Annual MIK Youth Winter Retreat will be held at Swan Lake outside Viborg, SD from Feb 17-19. The theme is "Just Be" with speaker Pastor Fuzz Floyd and Praise Team Ariel Gomes + Friends. Deadline for registrations is Jan 25th.
