A Typical Routine at Caerleon

Children Under 0-2 (Baby Rooms)

7:45-9:00 / Welcome and breakfast for the children arriving early
Children will be split into Key Person groups
Supported free flow play opportunities will be offered where children may choose from a variety of toys; this helps to encourage personal and social, physical and intellectual development
9:00-10:00 / Supervised access in key groups to Jump to encourage physical development. Different activities each day including parachute games, throwing, catching skills, football, balancing and jumping, music and dance
10:00-11:30 / Follow weekly planning sheets and identify individual learning opportunities.
The following activities will be available for the children to experience
Water/sand/stories and rhymes /painting/outdoor /messy and sensory play/dancing/singing/floor toys/musical toys/together time with Key Persons in small groups
Drinks offered as needed on an individual basis including bottle feeding for babies and rest as per individual routine and requirements
Nappy changing and toilet training
Tidy up
10.30 / Morning snack - Children will be encouraged with adult support to help themselves to fruit milk and filtered water at snack time
11:30-12:30 / Lunch time learning social and independent skills from each other and from adults who sit with small groups of children at low level tables and chairs
12:30-2.30 / Sleep time and quiet activities
2.30 / Afternoon snack - children will be encouraged with adult support to help themselves to fruit milk and filtered water at snack time
2:45-3:45 / Children awake and drinks offered as needed on an individual basis including bottle feeding

The following activities will be available for the children to experience:

Tidy up
3.45-4.15 / Tea Time- small groups again as at lunch time
Quiet time, stories and puzzles
6:00 / Home time

Periods of rest and feed times always reflect the needs of the individual child and wishes of their parents.
